The following unit will be awarded to participants upon successful completion of the course:

  • HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

It is recommended this unit be renewed every 12 months in line with industry standards.

Course Delivery

This course can be delivered in your workplace, or at a training facility.

Course Duration/Modes of Delivery

  • Face to Face – 3 hours (minimum) – full face to face course
  • Blended delivery – 2 hours (minimum) face to face course – with the addition of 1-hour self-paced learning to be completed prior to attending the face to face course
  • Refresher training – 2 hours (minimum) – conditions apply for this option, for example, you will need to provide previous current certificates.

Groups and organisations will be invoiced for their training and will be required to pay according to the invoice terms. Refund policy – students who cancel their booking 7 days prior to the commencement of their training course are entitled to a full refund. Entry Requirements

It is a requirement for this course that all participants have the physical capacity to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on a resuscitation manikin on the floor.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

To complete any nationally accredited course in Australia, it is a requirement that you have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). You can register for a free USI at usi.gov.au

If a USI is not supplied and verified, a certificate cannot be issued upon completion of your training.

Training and Assessment Delivered on behalf of Allens Training

Assessment Requirements

Assessment for this course includes a combination of practical scenarios and performance tasks, as well as a theoretical assessment.

Performance tasks and practical scenarios include:

  • Adult CPR
  • Infant CPR
  • Defibrillation
  • Responding appropriately in the event of regurgitation or vomiting
  • Managing the unconscious breathing casualty
  • Managing infection control requirements
  • Demonstrating safe manual handling techniques
  • Providing a verbal report of the incident

Theory Assessment:

The written assessment for this course consists of multiple choice and short answer questions. Students are required to complete all questions.
