Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
This nationally recognised course provides the skills and knowledge required to administer CPR until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
This course is suitable for people requiring workplace first aid skills.

It is recommended this unit be renewed every 12 months in line with industry standards.

Course Delivery
This course can be delivered in your workplace, or at a training facility.
Course Duration/Modes of Delivery
- Face to Face – 2 hours (minimum) – full face to face course
- Blended delivery – 1 hour 30 minutes (minimum) face to face course – with the addition of 1-hour self-paced learning to be completed prior to attending the face to face course
- Refresher training – 1 hour 30 minutes (minimum) – conditions apply for this option, for example, you will need to provide previous current certificates
- Online with face to face assessment – Self-paced online learning + 20 minutes (minimum) face to face assessment

Payment terms – individuals are required to pay their course fees before commencing their study. Groups and organisations will be invoiced for their training and will be required to pay according to the invoice terms.
Refund Policy –
- Students who cancel their booking 10 days prior to the commencement of their training course are entitled to a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the start of a course – 50% refund to cover processing costs.
- Cancellations made after a training program has commenced are not refundable.
Entry Requirements
Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations, such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor.
Pre-course study: Students may be required to undertake online pre-course work prior to attending the face to face session depending on the course delivery mode.
Online study: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies.
Unique Student Identifier (USI)
To complete any nationally accredited course in Australia, it is a requirement that you have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). You can register for a free USI at usi.gov.au
If a USI is not supplied and verified, a certificate cannot be issued upon completion of your training.

Assessment Requirements
Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.
Assessment Activities
Performance tasks and practical scenarios include:
- Perform CPR on an adult (incl. the use of an AED and placing a casualty into the recovery position)
- Perform CPR on an infant
Theory Assessment:
A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.
