HLTAID012
Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
Delivered in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines, this course has been designed specifically for educators and support staff within the education and care setting. Educators, child carers and support staff are required to respond to emergencies within the workplace which might include anaphylactic and asthmatic emergencies.
In order to provide lifesaving first aid intervention, you will engage with practical and instructional training. This offers effective training to recognise an emergency, identify then minimise or remove hazards, as well as administer applicable first aid to infants, children and adults. You will also gain understanding of the importance of recognising possible psychological impacts emergencies may have on self, other rescuers and children along with the appropriate actions to take in consultation with your supervisor.
This is a specialised first aid training course for schools, child care centres and any person working with young people.
